Great news of farmers in Punjab. The Punjab government has started a solar tubewell scheme for farmers. This scheme is to save these farmers living in Punjab, Pakistan, from the prices of electricity and diesel. With this Solar Tubewell Scheme, 8000 farmers will be supplied with solar tube wells because now these farmers are suffering a lot due to diesel tube wells or electric tube wells.
In this solar tubewell scheme, the water problems can be solved by changing electric tube wells into solar tube wells. In this program, 10, 15, and 20-kilowatt solar systems will be supplied, and the chief minister of Punjab will provide a special subsidy.

Eligibility Requirements for the Solar Tubewell Scheme
Application Per Family:
Only one member of a family can apply.
Land Ownership:
The applicant must own agricultural land within the district where the application is submitted.
Electric Tube Wells:
For electric tube well owners, the applicant must provide the last paid electricity bill as proof.
No Defaults:
Farmers with outstanding loans or defaults from banks or financial institutions are not eligible.
Electrical Connection:
Tube wells must have a three-phase electrical connection installed before October 30, 2024.
