The “Punjab Livestock Card” scheme was launched in December 2024. After the success of Phase 1, Phase 2 has now been announced, in which thousands of rural women will be given free livestock to help them become self-sufficient. This scheme is especially for women from economically weaker areas and who do not have a regular source of income.
