Under the Punjab Chief Minister Livestock Card Scheme Export Support Initiative, the Livestock Card Scheme has been launched, aimed at empowering small-scale livestock farmers and increasing Pakistan’s beef exports. This scheme provides e-credit facility, through which farmers can purchase feedstuffs like windrow, silage, and mineral mixture for their animals to effectively fatten and make them healthy.   • Program Size: Up to 80,000 Livestock Cards
  • Maximum Financial Assistance: Rs. 10.8 billion
  • Targeted Animals: 400,000 Animals (in 3 phases)
  • Period: Q4 2024 to Q3 2025
  • Loan Type: Unsecured, Clean Facility

Targeted Expenditures: Animal Feed — Venda, Silage, Mineral Mixture

Loan details for farmers

Punjab Chief Minister Livestock Card Scheme

  • Loan Amount: Up to Rs. 27,000 per animal per farmer (keeping 5 to 10 male animals)
  • Maximum loan tenure: 4 months + 1 month grace period
  • Loan cost (for farmer): 0% interest
  • Card issuance fee: Rs. 100 per animal (to be deducted from the card limit)
  • Loan guarantee: 30% loss guarantee on the first credit cycle

Conditions for Eligibility

  • Be a resident of Punjab
  • Be registered in the database of the Livestock Department
  • Keep a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 male animals (calves)
  • A valid National Identity Card (CNIC)
  • Mobile number registered in the name of CNIC
  • Verification from NADRA Veri System
  • Not be a defaulter in any previous government loan
  • Clear AML and Sanctions Screening
  • Minimum Age: 18 years (No upper age limit)
  • Delayed payment or default will result in disqualification for the next credit cycle
