CM Punjab launched Zindagi Asan Program For Special Persons

Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has started the Zindagi Asan Program-a groundbreaking program that is expected to empower the disabled individuals. It was promised a few days ago by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif that she would give all the equipment used for the facilities of disabled persons to them.

So now it has been launched formally and the portal for its registration has also been launched. You can do your online registration through this portal. Firstly, you have to visit the awc.punjab.gov.pk website. There you will be faced by an application form in front of you. There, you have to choose your ID card, disability certificate, and the scheme by which you want to apply, and then submit the form.

Key Features of Zindagi Asan Program

Free Aids:

The program offers free aids like wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prosthetics to special persons.

Healthcare Facilities:

Mobile health units and priority access in public hospitals have been provided to cater to the health needs of special persons.

Improvements in Accessibility:

The scheme requires that there must be ramps, elevators, and other structural alterations within public places to facilitate easy accessibility of all people with disabilities.

Helpline:

A special helpline has been started, guiding, counseling, and also providing instant help to special persons and their families.

Eligibility Conditions for Zindagi Asan Program

Disability Certificate:

• Eligible applicants should have a disability certificate issued by the Social Welfare Department or a medical board.

Age Limitation:

• The program is open for all age groups. 

Domicile:

• The applicants should be a resident of Punjab. Residence proof would be a domicile certificate or utility bill.

CNIC or B-Form:

• CNIC or B-Form should be issued by NADRA, in case of minors B-Form.

Income Limit:

• This usually includes income proof to support financial assistance and stipends for the applicant.

How to Apply for Zindagi Asan Program

Step 1: Required Documents

Please ensure you have all these documents ready before you apply:

• Disability Certificate
• CNIC/B-Form 
• Domicile certificate, utility bill, proof of residence
• Income evidence 
• Educational certificates
• Passport-sized photographs x recent

Step 2: Select Your Application Option

• Website of the Punjab Social Welfare Department 
• Zindagi Asan Program website
• Obtain a user ID from the website with your CNIC/B-Form, personal details.
• Fill in the online application form.
• Upload copy of all required documents.
• Submit your application and keep safe the acknowledgement receipt for use in the future.

Step 3: Follow-Up on Your Application

After submitting your application:

• You will receive a confirmation message or email with your application reference number.
• Use this reference number to check your application status online or at the Social Welfare Office.

Step 4: Approval and Distribution of Benefits

• Upon approval of your application, you will be notified through SMS, email, or postal mail.
• The benefits you are qualified for, such as financial assistance, skill training, and assistive devices, will be dispersed or distributed through the appropriate centers.

Zindagi Asan is not a policy; it’s a promise made to our special citizens that they are not separate but part of society,” she said.
